Anne-Marie C. Yvon

Anne-Marie Yvon helps our clients develop and execute cost-effective approaches for building, managing, and enforcing U.S. and international patent portfolios. Her biopharma and biotechnology experience includes immunotherapy, peptide and protein therapy, pharmaceutical and veterinary vaccines, gene therapy and gene expression, recombinant cell therapy, stem cell therapy, enzymes and enzymatic assays, and immunoassays.

Anne-Marie has nearly two decades of experience in all aspects of patent procurement, from identifying inventions, assessing patentability, and determining inventorship, to preparing patent applications, guiding prosecution strategy, and managing foreign counsel. Her enforcement experience includes representing plaintiffs and defendants in patent infringement litigations, which gives her unique insight into avoiding patent drafting and prosecution decisions that could have negative consequences during an enforcement proceeding. She has also conducted detailed freedom-to-operate, invalidity, non-infringement, and competitive landscape analyses. In addition, she has performed thorough due diligence analyses for collaboration and licensing arrangements, as well as for potential mergers/acquisitions of intellectual property assets.

Anne-Marie combines her extensive experience with a keen appreciation of the business needs driving many patent procurement and enforcement decisions. Recognizing that different types of clients have different business objectives, Anne-Marie collaborates with each client to devise a patent strategy that is individually tailored to the client’s business goals.
